I took the leap, fucked around and got the Xbox 360 250GB . I already had the Xbox 360 Pro 60GB for about two years and even though I didn’t need to upgrade I felt it was time. The wireless controller was fucked and I had 300 something bucks burning a hole in my pocket. You, may ask why I didn’t get the PS3 and I would answer, there’s no games for the PS3.

There she is, in all her glory. The first thing i noticed was this xbox 360 weighed about the same as the old one. The box was smaller though and the packing was some futuristic shit, I thought I was in the year 2030. Here’s a flick.

Alright it wasn’t all that, but the black bumpers was a change from the pervious model. Enough about that here’s the dirt on the Xbox 360 Slim 250GB:

There’s talk that the power brick is huge. It’s no bigger than the last model, matter fact I think it’s smaller. The hook up is simple and a breeze. I use a HDMI cable and once i disconneted the old one, i was in business. The console is black and shiny, the controller is black and dull. You have a choice of placing the console horizontally or vertically. I went the horizontal, only because my tv stand is not high enough to place is vertically. ‘They’ meaning Microsoft, advises you NOT to move the console while the disc is spinning (no shit…) so if you find you rather have it vertically then turn power off, remove disc and move upright, or vice versa.

The hard drive is right of the power button towards the back, be sure you to push the hard drive in before you turn on the game. Yes, I did not do this step and was wondering why it said ‘profile’ isn’t found. The rumor is you can buy transfer cables to transfer your old stuff to the new console, I personally, just step up a whole new profile. There’s two USB ports up front, I plus when you have the recharger back and use to hate that the cord when to the back.

The console is some what quieter than the old one. Not much a difference if you ask me, it still makes a sound. One thing I do hate but understand why is why not included a recharger pack. I know they make money on accessories and the markup is not great on consoles. I used my old white charger pack, I’m not a pansy so it doesn’t matter to me to be mismatch.

In closing I highly recommend Xbox 360 “slim” 250GB , even if you have an old Xbox 360. The power brick is smaller, so I’m sure it produces less heat, it’s shiny and black, I mean if you have chicks coming over they will love it. Why do think the Wii went Black?

HERE’s an update:

after playing Xbox 360 “slim” 250GB for a few days now at an average of 2 hours per day. I must say it is MUCH quieter than the old model. Another thing I forgot to mention is the power and eject button is motion sensitive. meaning you it’s sensitive to your touch, matter fact you just barely place your finger and it respond. it’s cool.

Grabbing information is one of the most important
skills that you need in poker. From your opponentís
betting patterns and the ìtellsî that they make simply
define your hand and are simply integral on your next
decision. But you canít do that without proper
positioning, which is on the button or somewhere near
it.

But that doesnít mean that you should fold every hand
if youíre not in the proper position, each has its
pros and cons, and it should also determine how you
should play your hand.

In this article, Iíll tell you how to utilize
perfectly your position in pre-flop play.

Early Position

This position is from under the gun to the third turn
in a ring table, which has around eight people seated.
In this seat, you have to be choosy in raising your
hand or simply limping into the pot because there are
about five to seven people yet to act, thus there are
more chances for them to raise the bets and given that
you donít have a hand thatís good enough, you just
lost money the size of the blind.

So itís important that you only raise premium hands in
this position like AK, AQ and AJ suited. When someone
re-raises after you, you have a good idea that he/she
has jacks or queens. So not only is raising pre-flop a
good way to drive out people who have small cards that
may get lucky after the flop, it also gives you
information on who probably has a hand better than
yours.

Middle Position

In this position, you have to be looser, but not to
the extent that youíre virtually throwing your chips
away. A9, K10 and QJ may be raised here, given that no
one has raised and indicated that he/she has an
excellent hand.

Again, the reason why that you should raise pre-flop
is to mine important information about your opponents,
if they have good to great cards.

Late Position

In late position, you can practically raise any hand
you want, depending on the circumstances. If everyone
just limps in to the pot, and a raise is nowhere in
sight, then you stick your foot right in and raise
around four to five times the big blind, even with
cards like 24. It may win you the pot right there.

But be wary when everyone calls when you do raise,
because they may sense that youíre trying to steal the
pot. Donít cringe if your technique fails and if the
flop shows high cards like A-J-4, raise outright and
try to steal the pot again. They may rethink that you
tried to steal the pot before the flop and give you
credit for hitting aces or jacks.

As you may observe, one may get looser in choosing
his/her cards when nearing late position and also
presents you the opportunity to steal the pot. Late
position also entails you to play more aggressively
and show some muscle, enabling you to hammer on pots,
do isolation plays and basically eat up the blinds. So
to speak, position should guide you on how to play
your hands because it opens the option of instilling
fear into your opponent, bluffing your way into the
pot or does the complete opposite of the previous two.
