Special Ops Missions

The military channel has created a new series for all those people that have dreamt about being alone, behind enemy lines, and on a mission vital to national security.  Special Ops Missions is the show for all you dreamers out there.  The bullets (hard plastic simulation rounds) hurt when they find their mark and the players play for keeps, showing no mercy to their respective enemies.

Do you have the guts and determination to attack a heavily guarded weapons dump?  What about rescuing a half dozen hostages being tortured by a terrorist group?  Can you operate for 48 hours without sleep and minimal food in order to avoid the enemy and accomplish your mission?

do you have what it takes

do you have what it takes

Wil Willis (an ex-special operations soldier) is a lone operator, thrust into the maw of the enemy by his commanding officer and the “unknown abyss” of the spec ops community.  He is a lone wolf sent forth to conquer the challenges of solo operations through wit, intelligence, and luck.  All the while, he narrates his own movements and explains the basic principles of any clandestine mission.

Meanwhile, the OPFOR (Opposition Force) sets out to interdict and destroy their adversary.  This highly trained force consists of ex-military, current military, and law enforcement personnel that know what they are doing.  These men (and women) also give explanations for each of their actions and explain their overall plan for defense or the hunting of their foe.

Special Ops Missions is your source for the translation of military jargon.  OPORD is an operations order, FRAGO is a fragmentary order (revision to an existing operations order), LPOP is a Listening Post/Observation Post, near-ambush, far-ambush, hide site, and much, much more.  This show will give you the heads up on how things could work when given the mission, the opportunity, and the motivation.

Catch new episodes of Special Ops Missions air at 9:00 pm EST on the Military Channel every Sunday night.  Don’t miss out on the urban warfare missions, the pirate overthrow, the desert weapon’s ID, or the thick jungle reconnaissance by Wil Willis.
